In a recent interview with Integrity Magazine, published by the Ethics and Reputation Society (TEİD), Funda Tüfekçi, Zer’s Chief Legal and Compliance Officer answered a range of questions about the company’s compliance policies and Code of Conduct.

In the interview, Tüfekçi stressed Zer’s longstanding commitment to transparency, accountability, and fair play in all its dealings with stakeholders, emphasizing that trust, respect, and corporate responsibility represent the core values that guide Zer’s actions and decision-making processes.

According to Tüfekçi, all of Zer’s managers, employees, and business partners conduct the full range of business operations strictly within the framework of the company’s compliance policies and Code of Conduct.

“As Turkiye’s first and largest corporate-procurement and supply-chain management company, balancing the relationship between suppliers and customers is our primary motivation for adhering to laws and ethics rules,” Tüfekçi explained.

She added that Zer’s “guiding principle” was to create an ethical, rules-based work environment, free of any discrimination.

“In line with our business model, we establish numerous business relationships with third parties,” Tüfekçi said.

“Through our Supplier Management System, which is based on international standards and has specific evaluation criteria, we manage all procurement processes in an ethical and transparent manner, while also managing and analyzing third-party risks,” she added.

“Any third party seeking inclusion in the system must first take part in a range of due-diligence and audit-verification processes,” Tüfekçi said. “Reviews and evaluations are repeated, at regular intervals, for our existing suppliers.”

She concluded: “The effort we make to create an ethical working environment makes us preferable in the eyes of stakeholders, and serves to foster mutual trust and sustainable trade relations.”
