This year, we ranked 125th in Capital500, among Turkey's biggest 500 companies, in the major research listing. Considering our 136th rank in the previous year, we are proud to be adapted to the new circumstances brought by the pandemic period and have risen to the 125th rank with our successful business outcomes despite the challenging conditions.

With the global impact of the pandemic, 2020 has been one of the most challenging years of our lifetimes. As a result of the pandemic, the global economy shrank by 3.3%, and the EU economy by 6.6%. Turkey, however, achieved a growth of 1.8%, thereby becoming the second country among the G20 countries announcing its expansion with China. This unprecedented situation can also be observed in the research results of the companies included in the Capital 500 list.

Grew by 16.3%, in nominal terms, in 2019, the overall turnover of Capital 500 companies increased by 10.1 in 2020. The decrease, however, can be seen in actual figures: Capital 500 turnover contracted by 4.1% in 2020, compared to 2.1% growth in 2019.

Although 77 new companies entered the list this year, the admission limit dropped from 151.9 million USD to 143.5 million USD. Considering the rankings among industries, energy-oil, automotive, and retail, as in the previous year, were the top three industries contributing the Capital 500 turnover the most.
