Hosted by Promena, Experience Talks brought together more than 200 procurement professionals and business leaders to explore the transformation of the function and the growing impact of digitalisation on business performance.
At Promena Experience Talks, held across two sessions on 8 April and 11 June, we explored the transformation of procurement from different perspectives. The sessions brought together industry professionals who are driving efficiency and value in their organisations using Promena.
Our discussions focused on how different organisations are approaching the digitalisation of procurement, how these approaches are reflected in business outcomes, and the value that technology brings to the function.
On 8 April, we brought together participants to share Promena’s current capabilities and the benefits it delivers in procurement. The session created an open forum for customers using the platform to exchange experiences and practical insights.
In the panel “The Strategic Role of Auction in Procurement”, Berna Öztürk Açıkol, Non-Fuel Sales Manager, Tüpraş; Buğra Çıkmazkara, Contracts and Procurement Manager, Tüpraş; and Tuna Emir, Indirect Procurement Manager, Ford Otosan, examined the strategic role of auctions as a proactive management tool that increases company profitability and supply security. The session was moderated by Ali Burak Tuğrul, Product Owner & Auction Services Unit Manager at Promena.
The 11 June session opened with remarks from Özge Gülden Güngör, Digital Platforms Director at KoçZer, and Gülşah Kayserili, Business Development and Sales Director at KoçZer, setting the context for Promena’s role within the broader digital procurement ecosystem.
Technology writer Serdar Kuzuloğlu delivered a keynote titled “Everything is the Same, Everything is Different”, reflecting on the pace of technological change and its implications for business and decision-making.
The session also outlined Promena’s future direction. Volkan Ulugöl, Promena Business Unit Manager, presented the platform’s vision, while İrem Sarıcı Mutlu, Promena Product Management Unit Leader, shared the development roadmap, highlighting the continued focus on scalability, user experience and value creation.
The panel “Digitalisation Journey: From Experience to Value” brought together Tolgahan Karaca, Procurement Process Management, Operations and Digitalisation Manager at Divan; Onur Şimşek, Procurement Lead at Otokoç; Ece Caymaz, Senior Sustainability Manager at Entek; and İlknur Yorgancıoğlu, Strategic Procurement and Development Manager at Petrol Ofisi. The session was moderated by Cansu Durhan Kartal, Promena Customer Success Management Unit Leader.
The discussion focused on how organisations are advancing their digitalisation journeys in procurement, and how experience, combined with technology, is translated into measurable business value. Speakers shared practical insights on embedding digital tools into processes, aligning procurement with broader business objectives, and strengthening sustainability and efficiency outcomes.
