With Responsible Travel, We Planted 267,000 Saplings in Five Years

Five years ago, we launched the Responsible Travel project and transformed our personnel transportation processes into a model that generates both environmental and social value. Every step we take together with our suppliers not only gives breath to nature but also enables us to integrate our sustainability focus strongly into the way we do business.

As KoçZer, we launched the Responsible Travel project in 2020, implementing a strong model that places environmental and social benefit at its core. Through this collective initiative carried out with all our business partners in personnel transportation services, we have succeeded in planting 267,000 saplings over five years. This number corresponds to an area equivalent to approximately 500 football fields being reforested.

With Responsible Travel, each of our suppliers responsible for transporting our customers’ personnel contributes to this journey by planting two saplings for every individual they transport. Thanks to our collaboration with the TEMA Foundation, the saplings growing across a wide geography from Gaziantep to Edirne stand as tangible reflections of our shared responsibility and offer hope for the future.

Three Consecutive Years of the TEMA Corporate Environmental Responsibility Award

This approach has been recognized by the TEMA Foundation, which has honored us with the “Corporate Environmental Responsibility Award” for three consecutive years. Being acknowledged by such a valuable institution for our commitment to sustainability and our contribution to the ecosystem is a significant source of motivation for us.

Creating New Opportunities for Women Drivers

Within the Responsible Travel project, we prioritize not only environmental impact but also strengthening social benefit. In a sector where the representation of women drivers is low, we encourage our business partners to provide more opportunities for women drivers, contributing collectively to the transformation of established industry norms. In doing so, we take concrete steps toward gender equality and help shape a more inclusive future for the sector.

Strengthening Our Sustainability Journey

We continue working to extend this successful model in personnel transportation to other areas of supply chain and procurement management with a focus on carbon transformation. The impact created by Responsible Travel inspires and guides us as we integrate our sustainability vision into all our business processes.
