Serhan Turfan speaks to Ekonomist about KoçZer’s growth ambitions and AI-driven procurement

Global uncertainty is changing the role of procurement and supply chain management. Companies are looking beyond cost savings alone and increasingly treating procurement as a strategic function that can strengthen business continuity and improve decision-making.

In an interview with Ekonomist, KoçZer CEO Serhan Turfan discussed how the company is responding to this shift and outlined its priorities for 2026.

Promena and expansion to international markets are core to growth

In 2026, KoçZer plans to build on the investments and capabilities developed over the previous year by turning them into greater revenue and scale. Its growth strategy rests on two main priorities: increasing the contribution of digital platforms to total revenue and expanding the business model developed in Türkiye into international markets.

Promena sits at the centre of these plans. The platform facilitates more than 75,000 professional e-auctions each year and will play a leading role in KoçZer’s international expansion. The company is also strengthening its presence abroad through its operations in Romania and by integrating Ram Dış Ticaret more closely into the wider business.

KoçZer is pursuing its media investments under the OneIngage umbrella, adding another dimension to its broader growth strategy. OneIngage brings together media buying, creative services and marketing technology under a single integrated agency model.

Artificial intelligence is becoming part of procurement

Since its establishment in 2003 as a centralised procurement services provider, KoçZer has expanded to serve more than 1,600 customers across a wide range of sectors.

The company is now bringing artificial intelligence into its procurement platforms, including Promena and ZerOnline, as it continues to digitalise its services. Looking ahead, KoçZer expects autonomous procurement systems to become an increasingly important part of how companies manage purchasing and supply chain decisions.
